Outfit Of The Day

I'm really loving the colors that are coming out for this fall.  I found these camel shorts at Old Navy in the clearance section and I love them!  I'm still buying shorts up because I can match them with tights when the weather gets cooler.

MAC Semi Precious Collection

I stopped into MAC today planning to pick up 1 or 2 things from the Semi Precious Collection.  I walked out with seven!

Semi Precious Rose Quatrz MSF

Base: Rosy Pink. Innercircle: Silver, Lime, White pink, Copper
I picked up the MSF in Semi Precious Rose Quartz.  For me, the outer circle of pink is a perfect shade of blush for my skintone.  The inner circle when mixed together creates a beautiful shimmery champagne highlight.

Mineralized Eyeshadows

Dark Indulgence: Forest Green & Black   Blue Sheen: Navy, Black & Peach 
I don't own anything like these two shades.  I think they'd both make beautiful deep smokey eyes!

Lipsticks

Gem of Roses: Midtone Strawberry Pink (Lustre)   Musky Amethyst: Deep Plum (Frost)
Gem of roses is a great everyday pink lipstick.  It's not too bright, not too dark.  Musky Amethyst is my favorite! It's a beautiful wash of plum.

 

Cremesheen Glass

Pure Magnificence: Light grey pink    Looks Like Sin: Midtone Reddish Plum
Pure Magnificence is a really nice sheer muted mauve shade.  I think it will look really nice over more mauve shade lipsticks.  Looks Like Sin is also sheer.  It gives a really nice sheer plum wash of color and would look pretty over the Musky Amethyst lipstick.

Selena Gomez I Love You Like a Love Song

So, my TV is always either on the Disney channel or Nickelodeon because of my almost 5 year old daughter, Violette.  As soon as I saw the new Selena Gomez music video, I Love You Like a Love Song, I knew I had to recreate the 1st look she's wearing in the karaoke bar!  It is completely my style!  I had so much fun recreating this look and I hope you enjoy!

Forever 21 Haul!

So, I'm absolutely in love with Forever 21!  I check the site every single day for new arrivals.  Last week, I was checking the shoe section and was soooooooo excited to see they had a coveted pair of shoes back in stock!  They are the floral platform maryjane's.  Forever 21 came out with a similar pair last year that were black with white daisies.  I'm still looking for a pair of those.  These shoes are miu miu inspired and are absolutely gorgeous!  I can't wait to wear them in an upcoming outfit of the day!  If you'd like to see the rest of my haul, check out my video below :)

Bohemian Goth

My husband told me I look like I'm going to a funeral but  love it!  I love to wear black but this look has a hippy bohemian feel that I'm really digging :)

Tan Towels Review

Yesterday I was shopping at my local Cosmoprof and saw that they sold Tan Towels.  I have been wanting to try a self tanner for awhile now but was a bit apprehensive because I'm so fair.  I have used Jergen's Natural Glow lotion and have been happy with that but I wanted to try something that would give me more instant results.  I have to say after using one of the Tan Towels last night, I am quite impressed.  It didn't get me as dark as I thought it would but I definitely have a lot more color.  I purchased the all over face and body towels for light to medium skin tones.  I think I may try the darker ones eventually when I'm already wearing the lighter Tan Towel so it's not such a jump from light to dark. 

The towelette itself was really easy to apply.  I applied a bit of moisturizer to my elbows, knees, ankles and knuckles 1st because I know that self tanners tend to grab more on dryer parts of the skin.  I started on my legs and rubbed the towel on my skin from thighs to feet, avoiding the knees and ankles.  Then I did my arms, skipping the elbows, upper body, back and face.  Because the towel is so large it was easy to reach the hard to reach areas on my back.  I then went back to my ankles, knees and elbows once I'd used up most of the towel. 

I'm really happy with how it turned out!  It's not streaky or orangey at all.  It has a bit of that self tanner smell but it's really not strong at all.  It's not even as strong as the Jergen's Natural Glow Lotion.  I would definitely recommend these if you're looking for a self tanner.
